Pupils from eight local schools attended tours of the Amazon fulfilment centre in Bolton to learn what happens when a customer clicks 'buy' on the Amazon website.
The tour was organised by the Elaine Bain Family Trust (EBFT), a Rochdale children’s charity that provides high school aged children with mentoring, personal development workshops, and external visits to support their learning.
The pupils received an insight into the various job roles throughout the fulfilment centre, and saw how Amazon stores, picks, packs and ships customer orders from the Bolton building to customers all over the UK.
